Marangu Route
Often referred to as the Coca Cola route, this is the oldest established route to the summit. Unlike other routes, the Manragu Route has dormitory style huts for the climbers. There are 60 bunk beds at Mandara and Kibo Huts, and 120 bunk beds at Horombo Hut. Each hut provides bunk beds including a simple mattress and pillow. Unique to this trail, hikers can purchase candy bars, bottles of water, and soft drinks. The trail is 50 miles long and with a steady daily elevation gain. Most hikers complete this route in five days which makes it ideal for travelers with limited time. The Marangu Route has the fewest acclimatization options and therefore has the lowest success rate. Additionally, the hikers travel the same trail to the summit and back down.
The cost of the climb is $2,200 USD per person.
There is a discount rate for larger groups.
For those wishing to summit via the Marangu Route in one day, the price is $150 USD per person and includes a lunch box and water.
Machame Route
Nicknamed the "Whiskey Route", this is one of the most popular routes on Kilimanjaro. This route is usually completed in six or seven days and provides incredible views and good acclimatization opportunities. Each day hikers experience a diversity of landscapes and the trail passes the famous Lava Tower and traverses the Shira Plateau. Unlike the Marangu Route, hikers camp each night. Summit night is spent at Barafu Camp. This route is a little more challenging than Marangu Route.
The cost of the climb is $2,200 USD per person.

Rongai Route
The Rongai route is the only route to approach Mount Kilimanjaro from the north-eastern side of the mountain, along the border between Tanzania and Kenya. This route is generally drier and less traveled and is ideal for hikers who seek solitude and a sense of remote wilderness. Hikers spend summit night at Kibo Camp and the return path is down the Marangu Route. This gives hikers a chance to experience different views. The gradual climb allows for good acclimatization and higher success rates.
The cost of the climb is $2,400 USD per person.

Lemosho Route
The Lemosho Route is considered by many to be the most scenic of all the routes. The 43-mile long trail encompasses the Shira Plateau, the Lava Towers and Barranco Wall. The gradual climb results in high success rates. The first half of this route is very quiet with minimal crowds; however, the traffic increases once the trail merges with the Machame Route.

The Shira route is on a path often referred to as the Southern Circuit. Unlike other routes the starting point is relatively high, which provides less opportunity to acclimate. The summit is from Barafu Camp and the decent is via the Mweka Route.
